For the smooth operation of the Human Resources department, the Human Resource Coordinator is a critical role. This role will report directly to the Human Resources Manager, as well as have frequent interaction with all members of the team and organization. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong attention to detail, be system and process oriented with experience administering benefits,
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support HR team with benefit administration, recruitment, new hire orientation and various administrative projects.
  • Administer company-wide employee health, welfare and retirement plans. Benefit programs include: 401(k) Retirement Plan, medical/dental, Flexible Spending (Section 125), Uniform Program, etc.
  • Acts as liaison between employee insurance providers to resolve benefit related problems and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations.
  • Provides administrative support to human resources function as needed, e.g., correspondence generation, record keeping, file maintenance, HRIS entry.
  • Administers plans in accordance with federal and state regulations and plan provisions are followed.
  • Regularly runs various reports to keep department stakeholders up to date on department trends and changes, i.e., union dues, company headcount, turnover, benefits, performance reviews, etc.
  • Regularly update employee information portal and bulletin boards with current and relevant information.
  • Audits work on a regular basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in human resources and/or administering employee benefit plans in the health and welfare areas.
  • Experience administering 401(k) retirement programs.
  • Must have computer skills, including knowledge of ADP Workforce. Must be proficient in WordPerfect and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills.
  • Good punctuation, spelling, grammar and attention to detail a must.
  • Strong interpersonal skills essential.
  • Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations required.
SALARY begins at $50k annually with increase DOE.
